Time of Year

The TMB trail is accessible to run from late June to September.

Ability

This challenge will appeal to trail runners, ultra runners, road runners, fast packers or speedy hikers. You don’t need to be fast but a heathy level of fitness and a determination to keep moving will make this achievable for many.

Accommodation / Food

This is a hut-to-hut style tour where you stay each night in a mix of accommodation options along the TMB trail including mountain refuges, hotels, and auberges. Typically your accommodation will offer half board services for guests which includes breakfast and dinner each day. For lunch options you will find a number of possibilities along the trail to either sit down and eat or to pack a lunch to have out on the trail.

This is one of the many appeals of this trail, you simply don’t need to carry as much gear and food around with you plus there will be a hot shower at the end of each day to freshen up!

Bags and Luggage Transfer

Runners have two options, you can go ultralight and carry just the essentials in running style backpack (fast pack) or you can add on a luggage transfer option and have a separate bag transferred each day to your accommodation. This is a great option for those that prefer a few more luxuries on the trail.
